Sahlgrenska University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Europe. We are a national referral centre in 14 specialist care areas and a member of 13 European Reference Networks (ERNs) for rare diseases. We improve healthcare by applying innovation and clinical research in close and broad cooperation with academia, industry and patients. Our goal is to provide world-leading care and research for and with the patient. We run our activities at three main locations in Gothenburg: at the Sahlgrenska Hospital, Östra Hospital, Mölndal Hospital. Around 17,000 people work for us, which makes the hospital one of the largest employers in Region Västra Götaland.
